Fast, high quality printing
Canon’s FINE print engine delivers a resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi and a 45 second 10 x 15cm (4 x 6") borderless photo print, enabling photo-lab quality output at speed. The hybrid ink system of affordable black and colour ink cartridges delivers excellent photo detail, as well as, superior text clarity. In addition a self-operating output tray automatically opens when printing or copying so no more paper jams.

Automatically scans just about anything
High quality 1200dpi scanning is quick, simple and easy with integral Auto Scan Mode. It detects your original - photo, business card or letter – then automatically scans and saves the image with the appropriate settings, all without any prompt from you.

Print without a computer
Don’t feel like using a computer? No problem. Thanks to a PictBridge connection you can print photos directly from your digital camera, DV camcorder or camera phone.

Built-in Auto Photo Fix II technology with Red-Eye Removal and Multi-zone Exposure Correction is perfect for your home photo lab as it automatically fixes your photos at the printer, giving you flawless results without the need for a computer.

Red-eye occurs when using a photographic flash very close to the camera lens (as with most compact cameras) in ambient low light. Based on Canon’s market-leading intelligent camera technology Auto Photo Fix II will remove any red eye from your pictures as well as fix the brightness of unexposed areas of the photo with Multi-zone Exposure Correction. For instance, it will automatically brighten faces that are backlit and under-exposed and ensure more accurate skin tones to help you produce gorgeous images.

Printing made easy with FREE in-box software
Exclusive to Canon, Easy-PhotoPrint is the fast and easy way to re-touch your digital photos and print them in a choice of size and layouts. It features an intuitive on-screen display for quick and easy image and paper selection, print-quality and layout. The Correct and Enhance button adds advanced photo correction and enhancement, using the same simple interface. The lab quality re-touching features available include: red eye correction, smooth facial lines and skin tone, face brightener, face sharpener and blemish remover.


Save paper with the NEW Easy-WebPrint software
This FREE in box new Easy-WebPrint EX software offers a range of options to help you organise the information you want to print from the internet - and avoid wasting paper printing the details you don’t need. These include Auto Clipping: print only the area of a web page you want; and Clip from Multiple pages: collect, combine and edit content from multiple web pages before printing. You can also print with an enlarged text size or reduce the size of the whole web page to fit it onto a single piece of paper for printing.

To achieve the 4800 x1200 color dpi resolution, Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses a patented print head with high precision nozzles, ejecting ink droplets as small as 2 picolitres in size (the smaller the ink drop the better quality the image) for brilliant colours and top quality prints
